Course Outcomes

The course explores Currency as a Rule of Evidence as stated in Clause 1.8 of the Standards for RTOs 2015. On completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Describe the requirements of Currency as a Rule of Evidence

  • Define the term 'very recent past' as stated in the Standards for RTOs 2015

  • Identify current and non-current assessment evidence

  • Identify and describe factors that may impact differences in currency requirements across different occupations and industries

  • Describe factors that should be considered when determining the currency of assessment evidence from the past

  • Describe best practice processes for documenting currency decisions.
