Course Outcomes

The course explores Authenticity as a Rule of Evidence as stated in Clause 1.8 of the Standards for RTOs 2015. On completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Describe the requirements of Authenticity as a Rule of Evidence

  • Define direct, indirect and supplementary evidence

  • Identify and avoid authenticity issues when conducting group assessment

  • Identify and avoid authenticity issues relating to reasonable adjustment during assessment

  • Identify and address different types of plagiarism

  • Identify and avoid authenticity issues relating to third party or supplementary evidence
